Making Waves Since 2018: The IMS Food Drive Story
The IMS Food Drive began in 2018 as the Reverse Advent Food Drive, inspired by our founder Ellie Soucy’s commitment to give back after her life-changing liver transplant. Instead of receiving a gift each day leading up to Christmas, Ellie’s vision was to give a gift each day, highlighting the most critical items needed by families in Pinellas County.
In 2022, we began tracking our impact, collecting 297 pounds of food and dedicating 33 volunteer hours to support families through FEAST Food Pantry. Last year, we nearly doubled our contributions with 648.4 pounds of food and 27 hours of service, thanks to the incredible efforts of partners like CrossFit ABF (our all-time leader with 254.8 pounds), Countryside Country Club, Countryside High School’s National Honor Society, Splash of Color Hair Salon, and SITE Florida & Caribbean.
This year, we’re setting a new goal: 1,000 pounds of food and 40 volunteer hours to help FEAST meet the needs of over 5,000 individuals each month. Join us in making this holiday season brighter—every pound and every hour counts!
